- 11 cup toor dal (yellow lentils)
- 22 tbsp oil
- 31 tsp mustard seeds
- 41 tsp cumin seeds
- 52 dried red chilies
- 68-10 curry leaves
- 71 onion, chopped
- 82 tomatoes, chopped
- 91 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 101/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 111 tsp red chili powder
- 121 tsp coriander powder
- 13Salt to taste
- 14Fresh coriander
- 15Lemon juice
Instructions

Cook toor dal with turmeric until soft and mushy.

Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, red chilies, and curry leaves.

Add onions and cook until golden brown.

Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 1 minute.

Add tomatoes and cook until soft.

Add all spices and cook for 2 minutes.

Add cooked dal and simmer for 10 minutes.

Add lemon juice and garnish with coriander. Serve with rice.
