  • 12 cups boiled chickpeas
  • 22 tbsp oil
  • 31 tsp cumin seeds
  • 42 onions, chopped
  • 53 tomatoes, pureed
  • 62 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 72 tsp red chili powder
  • 81 tsp turmeric powder
  • 92 tsp coriander powder
  • 101 tsp garam masala
  • 111 tsp amchur (dry mango powder)
  • 12Salt to taste
  • 13Fresh coriander
  • 14Lemon juice
Instructions

    Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.

    Add onions and cook until golden brown.

    Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 2 minutes.

    Add tomato puree and cook until oil separates.

    Add all spices and cook for 3 minutes.

    Add boiled chickpeas with some water.

    Simmer for 15 minutes until chickpeas absorb flavors.

    Add lemon juice and garnish with coriander. Serve with rice or roti.
